Age Concern recently collaborated with Te Papa on a pilot programme to bring Kaumatua to Te Papa to experience the culture and history of the museum, some for the very first time. Vanessa, our Events Coordinator, along with Te Papa staff, were able to share this opportunity with the Manners St Coffee Group and Omai Fa’atasi groups at Hutt Valley and Porirua.
What a treat for these 42 seniors to be able to see and touch (with gloves) preserved artifacts and share stories with the museum curators.
