Our work relies on funding from grants and donations from the public. Currently, only around one quarter of our funding comes from the Government – and we need to raise the rest.
You can help us reach more lonely and isolated seniors by making a donation. Your contribution will help us fund our programmes and keep seniors connected and active.

Usually, we visit a vending machine to get something for ourselves, but LightTheWorld Giving Machines are a way to give to someone else. The Giving Machines are ‘vending machines’ that make it easy to support global and local charities that provide those in need with items such as clothing, food, emergency supplies, medical care and support during hardships.
Please visit the Giving Machine at Queensgate Shopping Centre in Lower Hutt between 19 November and 27 December, or you can make a donation below anytime. Some of the items your donations can help provide are:
- $12 Christmas Gift for a Senior – Gift bag for an isolated senior who will have no contact this Christmas
- $20 5 Falls Prevention Classes: Provide falls prevention classes to increase strength and confidence for an isolated and lonely senior.
- $40 Lunch for a Group of Lonely Seniors: Provide a nourishing lunch for lonely seniors at a special social event.
- $66 In-home Tech Support: Reconnect a senior with faraway whānau through the power of technology.
- $140 Training Event for a large Group of Volunteers: Wellness and support training for volunteers working with high-needs seniors.
