We are deeply saddened by the passing of Eve McMahon, who joined the Board of Age Concern Wellington Region earlier this year.
Although Eve was only able to contribute for a short time before her illness, she was passionate about our mission of helping seniors thrive and was looking forward to working with us to make a difference in the lives of older people in our community.
Eve brought a wealth of experience and expertise from an impressive career spanning health, corrections, consulting and, most recently, almost 18 years with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, where she served as Deputy Chief Executive Quality Assurance.
We are grateful for the contribution Eve made to our organisation and for the opportunity to have known and worked with her.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Eve’s family and loved ones at this very sad time.
