Age Concern Wellington is an incorporated society and as such it invites people in the region with an interest in matters affecting older people to become members.
Members receive our quarterly magazine ‘Seniority’ posted to their door and are invited to attend our Annual General Meeting which is usually held in September. Members are also entitled to a free Total Mobility Card assessment.
We also have an agreement with local law firm, Mahony Horner, to give our members access to discounted legal fees.
Under this agreement, if you have a Community Services Card, you can receive a free initial consultation on any legal matter, advice and preparation of a will (members $75 +GST, non-members $150 +GST), and advice and preparation of an Enduring Power of Attorney (members $75 +GST, non-members $150 +GST).
For those without a Community Services Card, you can also receive a free initial consultation, advice and preparation of a will (members $250 +GST, non-members $450 +GST), and advice and preparation of an Enduring Power of Attorney (members $250 +GST, non-members $450 +GST).
These discounts are substantial – the usual price of Wills and EPAs would be approximately $350 – $450 +GST. Discounts are available to people of any age. To access these rates, please contact us directly and we will put in a referral with the law firm.
Contact us if you would like to know more about any of these great member benefits.
