MY TROVE – A USEFUL DIRECTORY FOR EXECUTORS
My Trove has developed a site to enable people to easily notify multiple organisations of the death of a relative or friend, and start the process of account closures and other requirements with each notified organisation.
If you do not have a lawyer to advise you, the company works closely with government agencies (Inland Revenue, Ministry of Social Development, Internal Affairs, etc) and private sector organisations such as banks, insurance companies and funeral directors to start the process for you, all at once. The service successfully eliminates repetitive paperwork and stops you from having to visit or call multiple agencies individually.
The service is free for individuals notifying multiple organisations of a death. It is funded and paid for by the participating organisations.
The site also provides helpful reference links for other difficult tasks, such as memorialising the deceased person, deleting social media accounts, and even hints about unlocking their phone.
